More from San Diego.....

Here's a pic from Sea World. We all had a great time and Kate got to feed the dolphins. She also really liked the big black and white dolphin (Corky the whale).

If you get a chance, ask Kevin about he and his dad sailing on (and steering!) the America's Cup boat Abracadabra. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Sunny San Diego

We just got back from a great week in San Diego!

We enjoyed the Wild Animal Park, 3 separate trips to Sea World, and a wonderful time at the Beach and Belmont Park! Kate had a blast, and more sugar than I care to think about!

What's up this week....

Kevin had his stitches out today, and his foot is doing well.

Kate had her first week of preschool, and has acclimated wonderfully. Her class has 17 kids in it (with a total of of ~30 in the whole school). She now goes 3 days a week for 2-1/2 hours.

Attached is a picture of Kate and her friend Sierra at Chuck E. Cheese from earlier this month. Kate loves these climbing things and is fearless in going all through them and down the slides!

Kevin's Tomales Bay Sailing Trophies

Kevin came back from the Tomales Bay sailing regatta with two trophies - one for coming in second place overall in his class. The second "trophy" is a 5" scar in the shape of a boomerang on the top of his foot that is currently showcasing 14 stitches. He dropped a dead tree limb on his sandaled foot.

The adventure part comes in as Tomales is a regatta where they sail over to the beach and set up camp. So when Kevin was injured, he had to have the boat motored across the bay to where the car was, then back to the beach as they forgot the car keys, then back across the bay again! The drove to the nearby town of Marshall and were met by an ambulance that took him to the emergency room in Petaluma.

Many thanks to his dad, Howard, for all the sailing, driving and motoring all around the north bay so Kevin could get help.

Amazing that he came in 2nd place with all this going on! Also, two other boats in their races capsized, so Kevin was lucky he wasn't one of them.
